Basic Radiation Safety Training Overview

All new users of unsealed ionizing radiation at the University of Colorado are required to complete Basic Radiation Safety training prior to working with any radioactive materials. The initial course must be completed at the Environmental Health and Safety Center (room 115). The training is computer based and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.

All training sessions take place in at Environmental Health & Safety in Room 115.

If you have already completed this training, you’re required to complete the Unsealed Radioisotope Users Refresher quiz every three years.
