Sealed Source Users Instruction Overview

Sealed sources are radioactive materials sealed inside metal or plastic and can take many different forms.  All forms share some type of encapsulation that prevents their radioactive contents from leaking or dispersing under normal use.  All users of sealed sources of radiation at the University of Colorado are required to complete sealed source specific training users prior to working with sources and every three years thereafter.
